Most of us have been trained to see our fertility as something mysterious, and our bodies to be outsmarted, whether we are trying to achieve or avoid pregnancy. In truth, our bodies hold powerful wisdom if we only pause to listen and observe! This is an introductory class that will teach you the basics of Fertility Awareness. You will learn how to track your cycles, identify your fertile times of the month, pinpoint ovulation (and know when you don’t ovulate!), and understand the physical and hormonal changes of your cycle. Each of us is different, and our cycles are our own. Being able to identify your own fertile window each month is key to achieving pregnancy or getting to the bottom of infertility. For those of us avoiding pregnancy (and most of us do at various times throughout our lives) available birth control methods leave us ill, or they are ineffective, sometimes painful, and often undesirable. Fertility Awareness aids you in avoiding pregnancy without uncomfortable, sometimes dangerous side effects. When used properly, it is extremely effective. Please note that Fertility Awareness will not protect you from sexually transmitted infections.
This class is held in two parts; the first is a group class where the basics of Fertility Awareness and cycle charting are taught. The second part is a private consultation with your completed monthly chart.
Cost of the class, including private consultation is $120.
